Freedom

7 05 2007

The Spring semester is over, I’ve completed 1/3 of my coursework for my degree.  The feeling is amazing.  I’m reminded what it’s like to not be juggling multiple things - multiple lives, really, and to have the relaxation and creativity that is FREE TIME.  I’m going to appreciate this for all it’s worth until the Summer session begins.

E.’s got me hooked on bloglines, and I’m not sure how I lived without it.  Will the web techies never cease coming up with more and more ways to streamline our lives?  All the blogs I read, in one place, and immediately telling me when they are updated.  Brilliant.

On another note: did someone forget to tell me about Dorothy Parker?  I just began The Portable Dorothy Parker and am simply devouring it.  E. has had a book of hers on our bookshelf for years but I always thought it was some old, boring author.  I was wrong.

“If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to.”  - Dorothy Parker

Congrats on finishing up! Does that mean we get to SEE you again? :)

We should celebrate soon! We’re grilling out tonight because it’s supposed to be AMAZING and you and yours are totally welcome to come… but we’re making chicken. We can, however, throw tofu dogs/veggie burgers on for you, and we’ll be grilling some baked potatoes and squash as well, I think.

Come and get it!
